front end stance
« on: October 17, 2010 - 11:29:19 AM »
Well guys here goes newbie problem.

I put a new (K) member in.
Now the front end sets way too high.

My friend a Mo-par guru says that I need to loosen the torsion bars.
But to my recollection the torsion bars are so tight that I could not get the pins back in.

(the nut would not tighten enough to expose the safety pin holes) surely something is out of place.

Also the the threaded pin that sits under the(lower control arm) not sure that is what it is called.
but the arm that attached to the wheel is not sitting on the threaded vertical rod.
I'll try to get some pictures soon.
Mark
P.S. thanks again guys

the torsion bars have an adjustment bolt in the lower control arm , undo the bolt & it will lower the height of of the car

Do that with the weight of the car off the wheels.

to save you some trouble I think you can adjust the height without lifting the car as long as you're only lowering it. Just try a full turn at a time on each side until you lower it to the height you want.
