I have pictures, but they just won't post because my computer hates me. But I will e-mail them to whoever wants them. The picture for my profile is the car I'm selling. I'm in Simi Valley (about a half hour north-west of Los Angeles).

I don't have the tools, time, money, space, help, or anything that I need to pamper her the way she deserves.

Well thats a shame but I do have a solution for you if you decide to keep her. about 25 minutes from you there's a school called West Vally Occupational center In Woodland Hills.

They got a Auto Body Class and a Motor Class Ive only taken the Auto But the teachers great. Ive Learned a lot so far. He knows more then just Body, has his own shop. They got all the tools you would need Lifts Welders any hand held or air tool and 2 paint booths.

Thank you! I'm positive there's no way around having to sell her, but if I somehow defy all odds and end up being able to keep her I will absolutely go take a couple of classes. Even when I end up selling I'll probably go check it out anyway. It sounds great, and right up my ally.

It has no fendertag. It was removed when the car got painted, and the old owner kept it.

No problem if you want some more info on the school just pm  ;)

As for that fender tag Why did you buy the car knowing he was going to keep the tag that should be part of the deal he has no need for it lol Unless this was the first owner either way Id try to get it  :)

Even without the fendertag, it was still the best value in that price range I could find. Since I had no intention of building a car of such high value that a fendertag would be necessary, I saw no problem with letting him keep it. I didn't worry about resale value, because I didn't plan on ever selling it. Fate has a funny way of coming back and biting me in the ass every time. :)

Does the car retain a build sheet?

Unfortunately, no. Other than the clear title, I have no paperwork for this car. I looked into cars that included paperwork, were numbers matching, and had fendertags, and I could not afford any cars that came with that much history. I needed something solid and ready to drive for 30k or less, but those documented cars (at least in my findings) were substantially more expensive. I had to settle for a ready-to-go car that came without a history.

Thanks for answering my questions.
Good luck with the sale.
You might have a little luck with the sale if you could get that fender tag back from the last owner.
Nice car you have there.

I cannot understand why anyone would want to retain a fender tag for a car they no longer own.  ::)

I assume after thiry-something years of owning it, he got really attached. He sold out of necessity from a really ugly divorce, so he wasn't quite ready to let it go. It was never on the car for as long as I was looking at it. I know what its like to want to hang on to a piece of something you love that much, so I never asked for it. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if he knows where it is. He just said it got removed during the painting, I just assumed he kept it. I guess I'd beter try to get it. It'd make this sale go a lot quicker and smoother. I gotta get this car outta here.

That sucks.  The story sounds a bit too familiar to me.  Good luck!
