520 CI almost done
« on: October 19, 2010 - 12:27:56 AM »
4.350 bore/4.375 stroke  690/705 roller  eddy heads and intake  milodon dual swivel system  2 speed with 180 straight cut gears, 4500 stall  456 dana with 14x32 good years  2 1/8 tube chassis headers 4 inch collectors. 1150 dominator on methanol.  2500 lb dart tube chassis car.  Just an 1/8th miler nothing real fancy just want to be consistant is all

I am building another engine for my dart this week. As of tonight, I got the short block ready, the milodon oil system mounted, the roller cam degree'd in and ready to bolt on the heads, set valves and install by wed. night if my head gaskets come in. I'm shooting for 5.90's or a little better with this combo shifting under 6200. Im also trying out a new intake. I removed the Team G dom intake and trying out a edelbrock super victor dom.

Thanks guys, I am installing the engine block right now. Peggy just made me some 3/4 lb burgers , so I am chompin it down quick to get back to installing.

I have a 2 day set back on the heads tho. They go back into the shop tonight to get decked 40 thou on the deck and 48 thou on the intake face. This will give me the desired compression ratio I actually wanted. It helps for the cam I have and also for methanol.

Now look at my W I W  post so I can get some parts sold to finish this up

It's 930 pm and I just picked up my heads from the machine shop, and they are ready to install.  All parts are clean, dominator and spacer is mounted on my new super victor dominator intake, and I had to have 1 pushrod made, which got done today. So I am going to have some fun tonight.  More later guys

I woke up at 5am yesterday then had to go to hospital for my epideral injection. The side affect is I cant go to sleep for around 48 hours. I even took sleeping pills last night, but nope, cant sleep. So I have been up for 32 hrs straight now as it is. But I am installing the headers now. It's all wired up, valves set, intake n carb on, engine is oil primed and distributor is set for initial start up. I can actually be ready in 2 hrs or less, but I have to go to town and vote before 4pm. I gotta get it today since I leave town at 4am sunday for frisco tx then southern mexico then up to canada. I dont want to leave it with out starting it. Update soon
