I agree with Chryco.  I like the look of the 20's, but I don't think those are the right wheels for your car.

As for maximum sizing, I think the 18 front, 20 rear combination is the max for these cars.

This territory is one of the most polarizing debates there is...people either love or hate larger wheels.

Hmmmm, have to say I liked it better in the "before" pic.  At first couldn't figure out why (other than I always liked the rallye wheels a lot so I am biased in their favor) but then realized the new rims almost make it look like the wheels & tires have been stolen and the car has been left high and dry on blocks.  May look much different (and better!) in person.  But the polished spokes going out to the black rims and short sidewalls is making the wheels & tires disappear, and that is why I am liking the rallyes with their chrome trim ring better.

Again, may be AOK in person as photos are fairly dark.  And like others say, at the end of the day the only thing that matters is if you are happy with the look.

And people wonder why I refuse to sell my musclecars to other people......

IMO, I woulda kept on looking for some wheels or left the Rallyes on it....You could argue that the rallyes are "Too common" these days....Well, IMO, Those hideous wheels are becoming "Too common" along with the newer Mercedes ,err Hemi engines....

Good on ya for going outside the norm and coming up with something unique!

Personally, I think if your car had a different color on it, the combo would look better.  Say a dark gunmetal or a silver...  Maybe a maroon candy or pearl would work good too.  My  :2cents:

Wheels come right off. That said,I searched for over a year for rimz.Found them here from a member. I like the wheels you chose. Very unique.20" is big to me.17's are just right. Maybe a lime green stripe on the lip? Get some pinstripe tape and try some stuff. It always seems to make big dark wheels *PoP*  IMO,No you didn't make a mistake, just a change for now. Big brakes help too.  :2cents:

Bought my 70 in 1980 and it had slots on it. As soon as I got it home I put Cragars on it. Around 85 I put Smooth Centerlines on it and drove it Car Craft Street Machine Nationals for years. Around 2000, I decided that the car is now a classic and wanted it to look more like it came from the factory and went back to the Rallye wheels. Rallye wheels for my 2 other e-bodies because you can't go wrong with the factory look.    What made you pick that style?  Did you see them on another model first?
