Love the style, diameter is a tad too large for my tastes.

I like the rims, but I would've also gone 17" or 18".  18" seems to be a great spot right now combining tire diameter with enough sidewall.  17" the tires seem to be a little small in diameter.  The 20" rim just doesn't leave ANY room for sidewall.

Not for me, either.  17" to me is as big a wheel as should go on a muscle car.  That's what I have, and I can still get a tall sidewall like the original setups.

I agree with what a couple of others have said here already; the largest I'd personally go is probably 17", but I just went through the decision process and my choice was exactly your before picture!  But also like some others have said, big wheel & tires look wicked cool when the car is sitting down on top of them with the tops well inside the wheel wells.  I'm not sure what you'd have to do clearance-wise to swallow those tires, but if that's a possibility I'd love to see it when you're done.

Personally, I woulda stuck with the rallyes or went with painted steel with dog dishes. If you decide you can't live with them, at least you can put the rallyes back on, call me, and I'll slap those bad boys on my truck! :2thumbs: :smilielol:

The pic with the purdy lady gets my vote!   :grinyes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I'm all for customizing your car to your own liking. But I think those wheels aren't meant for this car...

I like the wheels, in 18" or 19" they would look killer.

It doesn't look too bad from the pic's but I am old school and prefer to see a bit of sidewall, if you were to race it then they would be better suited. Wheels should be matched to the suspension package.

I like the wheel size and plan to go with 20's in the back myself.  But I think it would look better if the car was lower.

hard to go lower with 20s!
but my opinion is 17s are the biggest you can go and still have it look right.
The original 14s are puny in comparison
