I think the jump itself isn't fake, just the explosion. That's definitely a pancaked body he's "crawling" out of after the jump. Whatever we may think of it, the car wasn't worth much over $2000 in the shape it was in, even if at first glance it appeared to be a rust-free body. The producers probably bought it for $200 at a tow-yard auction or off Craigslist from someone who didn't know better. In their minds, why not throw it off the cliff?

to see it. Waste of a good car. There have to be plenty of beat-up 80's Camaros they could have used that wouldn't have cost any more and I don't think even the Chevy guys would have been upset about one of those pieces of crap being wrecked.
