What a terrible shame for the owner of the GT. The Tuner is liable for the wreck he was the one driving. He said he was going slow and lost control, yea right.  If he is going to tune cars like this or any car for that matter he should have his own insurance if he is going to test drive the cars. I hope the owner gets a new GT out of this.

This is where things get interesting when it comes to liability. The tuner I believe is in California and the owner is in Texas. California law states the the owner of the vehicles auto insurance policy has to cover other people driving the car, not the driver. I am not certain what the insurance law is in Texas. I totally agree that the tuner owner should be held responsible and have to buy this guy a new car, but I am not certain how the law will lean in the case considering the owner is not from California, and it was an employee of a business that was at fault.

This is what is wrong with our world these days....no personal integrity.

"shadowman" totals a customers car and then says its not his issue?

What a dick.

Regardless of what the insurance law says, the driver is responsible morally.

I can tell ya what happened.....this jerk got the keys and figured he'd test out the car...his balls got large sitting in the seat of that car and decided to (illegally) put the car through its paces on a public highway.....and he screwed up.

Dont blame the car. Blame yourself.

Then pay up, you clown.

Reminds me of the time I came back to a repair shop only to see the owner's son drive up in my car.  He gets out and proudly tells me how impressed he was that my car would do 60 mph in first gear!!  At least I got my car back in one piece.  If I was the GT's owner I'd own 'Shadowman's' shop lock, stock & barrel and I'd hold a yard sale to raise hopefully enough money to replace my car.  Plus side, Shadowprick's business would be history....
