Camera's on the fritz..... so those will have to wait.
The Clip set came with 8 plastic plus one metal (grasshopper type) for the front fender as you can reach in and tighten up the nut. So, one of the plastic on the rear and then I spaced the remaining 7 (each side) going from front to rear: @ 8 inches from the front one (so still on the fender); 3rd one was just on the rocker panel and then spaced the rest out towards the rear being sure to place one about 8" from the rear end one. Not sure what the "right" spacing is -- but I thought this made sense and it worked out great.
First I measured everything out using masking tape all along the rocker. Measured down about 1/2 from the edge of the door and then another inch & half (clips are about 3 inches long) and marked the tape for drilling holes. Measured again. And again. And then I drilled.
First time I used a bit exactly the size of the small studs for the clips (you drive these in to seat the clips). I found out the clips wouldnt fit properly and it was because I was too cautious on the size of the hole - so up a notch and then they fit perfectly. Drilling was stressfull.... but I got over it.
I used some epoxy and brushed it in and around the drill holes After I installed the clips, I started with the molding (put some old carpet down so as not to scratch it up) when I layed it down -- and then carefulyl "pressed" the molding onto the clips starting from the front (with the screw-type fastner very loose) and moved towards the rear. Got to be careful not to bend the trim and they snapped in quite tight. You have to "rock" it - starting with the bottom of the clips and then "roll" it up onto the other side of the clip and it snaps onto the molding.
Like I said, a little more confident on the second side... went much smoother.....
