1974 barracuda 2000.00
« on: October 24, 2010 - 03:38:08 PM »

This car is not mine.  I found it about 15 miles from where I live.  Up in the mountains.
I am not involved with this car so I make nothing.  Just passing this on in case someone else out there wants this car.  I can help with pics and talking to the guy.

The guy has had the car, titled in his wifes name, since the 80's.  He drove it cross country a few times.  Finally settled here in the Rockies.  The both of them drove the hell out of this car it seems.  Lots of repairs have been made to the car.  I believe he said it came from Minnesota or Michigan, so the car is a ruust bucket.

Original yellow car.  Bh code
The K frame has been rewelded to the frame with some metal pieces so that it didn't fall off of car.  Rockers are pretty much shot.  Door hindges seem good where the doors mount but the tops and bottoms of the hinge pillar on both sides is rotted into the rockers.
Non original doors.
front of rear quarters have been patched with sheet metal and rivets.
Inner quarters are rusted.
trunk appeared to be somewhat there but lots of parts in the trunk so hard to see.
Interior is in fair condition but has been resting in awkward positions for some time.
Grill has one broken piece and appeared to be in very nice driver condition.
Hinge areas have some rust.
Non original front fenders.
firewall has rust.
NO FENDER TAG OR BUILD SHEET.
Vin tag matches radiator support.
Titled with correct numbers.
No motor.

My photobucket account only let me download maybe 30 pictures.  I can post a few and if anyone is interested I can send some along via email under a few different formats.

The guy also had a 70 Super bee for sale.      8500.00   :pullinghair:
Also from Michigan or Minnesota.  Forgot which one. Very nice car, barely driven the last 20 years.

No one even wants to talk smack about the rust bucket huh?  I am surprised.
This car has more hack jobs on it than any I have seen.

Smack, smack.

Any chance he'd sell the grille seperately?

The Bee looks pretty cool. I remember when you couldn't give those 70 Coronets away.

I love the bee.  Don't remember those days.

The guy is uninterested in selling parts seperately.
The grill was my first thought also.  Nice shape.
Interior is in decent shape aside from sitting weird for years.

I might be able to get this car for 1K.
Anyone intersted?  I believe it has to be sold by Dec. First.

Then the folks get kicked off the land.  Divorce.

I don't know for $1k, i think with the predicament they are in Id offer way low. It really is garbage except maybe a handful of parts.

Wow, that Barracuda is toast, but I love that Bee. If you could get that car for $1K I would buy it  :naughty:  ;)

If I could get that car for one K I would buy it!!

It is mostly a parts car I would think.  Most would just part it.

I on the other hand, would like to do a rust case one day.
I started on one, the challenger I have for sale.
Other things changed my mind.

Anything is saveable.  I didn't notice any impacts that would make me think it was in a wreck.

I do have more pics.  Lets see if I can get some up.

More in a moment.  For some reason, the photo bucket image has copied the image of my second picture.

I am not sure how many I can put on one post.  Surely these will be deleted before too long??  Or does my image code hold up after CC does its clean up?

Anyway, you asked for pictures, you get pictures.
