Wow I just found this thread and looked over all 13 pages of progress.  Turning out to be a major project and looking very nice Jackie  :cooldancing:  Sounds like you're having fun too!  Congrats on the rebuild.

I think this thread has finalized my decision to put my 71 challenger vert back to its original green color. It's looking great Jackie!

Hey Jackie,

The grille and bezels were all done until I had this little whoopsie. Don’t worry, my duct tape matches pretty well and it should blend right in. A quick repair and it will be fine.

Hey Shawn and Bart,

Yes, I know I was taking my life in my hands with that last post! It always sucks looking down the wrong end of a 380.  :roflsmiley:

Ok, I did send a picture to Jackie after the dark argent was shot and peeled a bit of the masking away. She still hasn’t seen it completed and we agreed that she would wait to see it in person.

Until then, I would wait until releasing any pictures. I was just having some fun folks, that’s all. I do have to say that I have done a bunch of R/t Challenger 71 grilles and bezels over time, All of them have been, including this one, a masking nightmare only because I didn’t want to drill out the original ornament rivets and wanted the backs to looks like the original molded black plastic.

This is the first time I ever asked to do a tri-colored 71 Challenger grille an bezels.
Oh Lord, masking and aligning those black triangle points above and below to meet the low and high beam openings was the fun part. :bricks1: After you get one looking right, you get to do it again! More  :bricks1:  :roflsmiley:

I actually like this subtle look more than the R/t’s (Sorry folks). Anna and Eric said the very same thing.

We all look forward to seeing you Jackie, and you too, Shelby!

Here’s a sneak preview...
