radiator hoses
« on: November 02, 2010 - 12:07:23 AM »
I went to 3 different places today to get some radiator hoses. <upper and lower>  I found some made in the USA but none of them had the metal spring inside like my old lower one does.  The old one is rusted so I need to replace it.

My question is are rad hoses so good these days they don't need the metal inside?  Or are they just cheapening them up.

Why didn't I think of that lol!   The guy at NAPA had a blank look on his face when I was describing what the spring was and what it did.   I never thought to ask if they sold it seperately.  I'll head back tomorrow.

Spring is only needed in the lower hose to stop it collapsing.
