True it does but that's just a laminated piece of paper. If they really wanted to say prototype they should have painted it on the sides or something but I guess to lazzzzy or don't care as you can see with the quality of the work as well.
WANTED 71 cuda / barracuda project. Prefer Black but open.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Definitely not cc.com quality though. The craftsmen on this site put Chrysler to shame in fit and finish. :2cents:

Believe me it is not OEM quality. Granted Chrysler didn't have the best quality back in the 70's but it was superior to this.

Didn't someone say that the display shown was originally a factory 1970 318 car they put some panels on to show as an example of what they will be offering as a complete body?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

 :iagree:  Any panel, even an NOS quarter panel will need "massaging" to fit correctly and is much easier than dealing with rust IMO.Also keep in mind it is a prototype and there are no gaskets in the doors or trunk which changes how the panels will line up.Give a good body man a day and it`s ready for primer.

I think the price of our originals just went higher.    :lol:

Hehe thats what I am thinking.  I am sure that is a fair price for what is involved to make something like that but you can buy a nice original driver for alot less than that.

I'd like to think we've come a little ways in our manufacturing process than what was available in 1970. Saying something is 1970 quality, built in 2010 is not saying very much to me... Just my opinion. Especially at $17,000.

Have these hurt the value of the other cars that have been done?  I still see Camaro's for decent prices all things considered.

If it was being biult on a modern assembly line I would agree but for a small aftermarket company taking on a project like that the shell looks pretty good.

Question for those that say the body looks good (which by the way it was a lot worse than the pictures actually show), would you pay $17000 for it and then pay to have the body work finished and paint the car and be at that point around $30k invested in it, and still not have any of the interior, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, trim, etc for the car?

Don't get me wrong I am glad to see that the body is being produced, but for the money they are asking it had better be darn near ready for paint. Plus I have heard nothing but horror stories involving Dynacorn's quality and especially about their customer service (or lack there of).

Makes sense from a race car / pro stree perspective. But I can't see my A66 Challenger just a bare shell with all of the body work finished ready for paint with no other parts being worth over $20k, if it is I need to hurry up and get that car finished  :roflsmiley:

This strikes me as the typical frustration that we got through with the resto market.  There's a lot of clamoring and hoopla about what is needed, someone steps up to the plate with an offering and everyone picks it apart until no one buys and the product is disco'd.

I hope that Dynacorn's finished product is better than what's in the pics, but I also hope that we understand that they build these with the hope of selling maybe 100 a year...not saying that cheap and shoddy is acceptable, but it's still better than the dwindling supply of rust that is currently available.
