Tame Audio Player?
« on: November 05, 2010 - 11:42:48 AM »
I want something that does not look like a spaceship, has larger buttons, and at least has a auxiliary jack for an mp3.

If you guys have any suggestions of what you have used, that would be great.

Pictures of how you put those in your car would be awesome, cause I'm wondering how to go about this.

I went with a Pioneer unit. because it had a MP3 input jack and it was black faced and had a green LED display , so it blends in with the dash lights. Sorry it's not the best picture. But to be truthful...I don't listen to it much, I'd rather listen to the engine sing! :grinyes:

Did you have to use a bracket to go around that to help it fit up?
And what is the exact model number or name of that pioneer unit?

When I bought my car it was already cut out for a cassette deck, this one fit right in the hole! If your concerned about cutting up the plastic, buy another one and keep your original one.
It's a Pioneer DEH P3800MP it's couple of years old now maybe they don't make that model anymore? Don't know? Just don't buy ANYTHING Sony IMO they are crap, I have had nothing but trouble with Sony products.

You may have to trim the lower dash molding slightly, depending on the bezel that comes with your new radio.
