I need help with cleaning primer from the gun What to use
« on: November 08, 2010 - 10:19:09 PM »
I shot some 2K high build primer, tried to clean the gun and I can not get it clean enough. I tried reducer, then brush cleaner which it is soaking in right now. Should I go buy some acetone or MEK. Suggestion s please. This the primer I used KFP - 2K HIGH BUILD ISO-FREE PRIMER

Your local automotive paint store will have gun cleaner / solvent.  Works real good, but you don't want to use it all the time because it's hard on the gaskets in the gun, however it will clean your gun nicely.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Works great, However it may be too late...If you spray nozels/jets jets have that primer still in there.   :2cents:

Laquer thinner if the paint isn`t hardened up,otherwise you might need to tear it down and use paint stripper.
