Dash
« on: November 09, 2010 - 06:56:13 AM »
Hey guys,
can anyone tell me where I can find an after market dash?
It does not need to be near stock.
A custom stainless, leather, wood, just so it looks good and has holes for gauges.
Or not, a master blank will work.
I can cut holes.
I have a dragster dash.
A piece of sheet metal with holes in it.

There are a couple of companies that makes some xv motorsports is one that comes to mind but they are really overpriced. There was another company that I saw on here that I believe is made of fiberglass and they come preholed for gauges or blank, cant remember who though. let me do some digging around

Paint your dragster dash with Krylon wrinkle paint...it looks good and ties the that finish on other parts of the interior...

Otherwise, check out the custom dash in Twisted Fish (conv340) car

Talk to Kim at Matt's Classic Bowties (contact info in link below). She is great to deal with. Her shop is in Dublin Ca. Covan makes the dash kit shown in the link below and has blanks as well.

Oh, I thought you meant that you had a sheet metal gauge panel.  :dupe:

In that case, your best bet is eBay for orinal frames and pads, or custom make one that you like.

There are a few fiberglass offerings out there...

Where are you located? I have a frame I'd sell cheap, but shipping might not be. I'm in central NC.

Steve, are you talking about the one I gave you about 6 months ago?
I did not think that I would need it at the time.
I really don't know enough to know.
but when I find out we could meet in the same restaurant parking lot we met in before, and I can save on shipping.

I thought that name sounded familiar!

I gave away most of what I got from you, but still have the frame. Sure, we can find a meet-in-the-middle spot and I'll hook you up. Time flies....I think your 6 months is more like 18....LOL.

PM me with your number and we'll formulate a plan.
