AAR Quality Fiberglass?
« on: November 09, 2010 - 06:19:59 PM »
Tried going to their homepage and the link is broken.  Called, but got voicemail.  Are they still in business?

:iagree: A friend of mine bought a hood from them for his 75 Dart drag car and the quality was top notch  :2thumbs: That thing fit perfect and if you didn't know it was fiberglass you would swear it was original.

I just went to their homepage and seems fine. Maybe they just had a server issue.

Pete, they no longer sell the TA hood. I emailed them a while back about it and they said the mold broke.

Yeah, I was really interested in their hood but found out they didn't make it anymore.

I e-mailed them last night. They told me that they still offer the hood, but with a 6 month lead time. Don't know what this means re: broken molds, but it sounds as if maybe they're farming it out to someone else  :dunno:

Last time I talked to them at local show (2yrs ago) they said they don't advertise the TA hood anymore because they had such a backlog of orders and the hood is very hard to make compared to others.

Sounded like he'd do it, but since the lead-time is so long they'd rather not even show it on website.

Was it molded in black? Mine was in white and I can imagine when I get stone chips etc... it will show like a sore thumb? :grinyes:
