I personally don't understand why you'd bother getting a newer challenger if you were going to stick with the V6. I'd rather get a used hemi, before buying a new V6. These are muscle cars, enjoy the more muscled up options!

:iagree: Good point.  Unless you want that new car smell or really concerned with mileage or certain options that are only on the 2011, I would go with a used 2009/10 R/T.  :2cents:  Love that V8 sound!  :grinyes:

:iagree: But, what are the 09/10 RTs selling for used right now?  He might still be able to get a '11 V6 cheaper, of course ith that said, I would just wait until the used prices dropped a little more, then snatch one up.  If it looks like there is a chance for a long-term build run, then the values should start falling.  Plus, don't you get the 100,000 mile (or is it lifetime) with the RTs?

The SRT Challengers, new and used are still too pricey for me. Not to mention Insurance is alot more, and with 300 HP I am satisfied..If I want more HP, I will jump into on of my 440's and let 'er rip.

Had a customer come by today with his '09 V6 Challenger.  He's got 45K miles on it and loves it.  He's had zero problems with it and, yes, he even races it at the track.  His best time is 9.95 in the 1/8th and 15.39 in the 1/4.  Still had rubber on the quarter panel from last weekend's racing.  He's one of the reasons the Cowtown Mopar Performance Team won it's 9th consecutive Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge :cooldancing:

I have 24,000 on my SRT loving every second in it except the back seat and the harsh ride from the struts or springs  :22yikes: but wind her up or through it into a corner at speed and I am all smiles   :bigshades:

i would think a person could investigate the reliability of a chrysler 300 with the 3.5 to get an idea of the issues the car may have as it ages.

i believe the new challengers share something like 73% of their parts with the 300.

Our 09 is almost worn out. We have now gotten 2400 miles on it.   :smilielol:  It's now put to bed for the next 6-7 months.
