Nasty 416 stroker motor for sale!!! (Sold!!)
« on: November 10, 2010 - 11:24:51 AM »
For multiple reasons I am putting my 416 stroker up for sale. I am selling the engine complete from carb to oil pan. I will not separate anything off the engine so please don't ask. I'll post up picks by tommorrow. Many people here on this site know about my car and the fact that it is one of the fasted full weight stock appearing small block Cudas around. On drag radials with a bone stock suspension and fuel system has ran 11.3s in the quarter mile and 7.26 in the eight at 3800 lbs with me in it. The engine is super tight and reliable. It never smokes and does not use any oil! I figure the engine has only around 10-12k miles on it. It is totally streetable and on many occasions have drove it in rush hour traffic flawlessly. Given the weight, et and mph the car produces I can say quite safely that the engine puts down around 550 flywheel horse power.
Below is the specs and parts included with the engine. Its a turn key deal that will cost you half of much as building a new one!!!!!!!!!!! Asking $5500.00! Again pics coming and feel free to call me at 704.519.9996 with any questions!

Next up will be a small block stroker based of a Resto/R3 block north of 420 cubes with Indy heads. I'll need the extra strenght to support twin turbos as I anticipate making well above 1000 hp. That will be a while down the road though because I'm going to fully restore the car first and for the short term I need to pay off some bills!! :2thumbs:

:faint: A twin turbo 420?  :faint:

I was thinking the same, like why is Dave selling the engine.... sweet deal for who ever gets it.  Pop it in and   :burnout:

Damn! I left my extra five grand in my other suit  :grinno:

Good luck with the sale. That sounds like a great setup.

Here are the pics. They didn't turn out very well being that I took them with a cell phone in my garage but they get the point across. The last pic is of a couple years ago with the crap ass old headers on it. BTW if I get a good enough offer the new TTI headers that are on the car now will come with the engine!!![\b]

Actually after talking to Ryan at Shady-Dell it looks like he'll be building me a 440 cubic inch small block!!! The last one he did made 730hp on pump gas and propelled his customers A body to 9.60s on its first outting!!! That being said I might hold off on the turbo idea for a while. First things first is that I got to get some bills payed then I'll be playing again. :2thumbs:

Wowzers!!!  9.60?   :faint:

I met a guy that bought a Demon from Texas.  Said it had one of those Mopar performance, what is it, W3 or R3 blocks?  Said it was stroked to a 454!  That size stuck in my head because a 454 is a Chevy size typically.
