Storage units are $100 or less a month for one that will fit a car and some stuff.

Depending on where you are. Around me, they're $300-400 a month. If I could get one for a hundred I'd be all over it.

:22yikes: WOW! that`s expensive! I had to store the `cuda for 4-5 months when we were waiting for our new house to be finished and I rented a 10x20 unit with 24 hr access for just over $100/month.

Dave,

I guess I'm lucky as I am just paying $200 storage on mine(It's a private garage, and I think she is being nice).  I just love when people tell you to buy a house with a garage around here.    :screwy:  Hey, anyone got 3 or 4 hundred thousand I can borrow?

:naughty:  45 a month for one here. The price goes up from there. My dad rents one for 45 and he has maybe 200 lbs of sentimental junk in it.

If you have to borrow the money to pay to haul your stuff away from your ex, "GET YOUR STUFF OUT NOW".  Seriously, these things have a way of ending badly if you leave anything of value with your ex.  I don't know her and don't know the issues that led to your divorce, but I've seen too many divorces where the ex-wife gets pissed at some point and the guys stuff just somehow disappears.  In every case, the courts have been useless getting anything back.  Not trying to spook you, and you're probably already worried about it enough.

Good luck, Jim
I totally agree and it not just women that do it! I have a friend and it was't even a spouse that did it to her! it was her boyfriend and he did it to her when she was in the hospital !! if you ask me that is REAL low! so gordon defintely borrow money and get everything out of there you can man! you are Way too soft hearted and I would hate to see you get screwed by ANOTHER woman again! man when are you gonna learn!!   :horse:

I would love to get rates like that out here. Its insane out here what it costs. The best deal are the DIY container storage units. You can buy a shipping storage container for a couple grand and own it out right.

:dunno: You not only got the cost of moving your stuff you got the cost of storing everything safe and dry, won't be cheap. Sounds like the rental fess of storage units would easily pay for building a 30X34 garage. Just sayin.................  :clueless:

Nah, Im pretty confident Gordon will be here soon to get his stuff. He has went a long time without it and already has a place to keep everything now.  It is just the distance in between the 2 houses that makes it tuff on fuel and transportation
