this puts me miles ahead of where I was.

The next thing (probably) is a better carb, 850?
I don't wish to buy a 750, just to find out it is not big enough?

Do you think I should post in parts wanted, eBay,or what.
Do you have a good rebuilder?
Or do you not buy used carbs(I nor any of my motor buddies get good results) same thing goes with rebuilding the carbs
 I can't get them to perform like new.

I hope you don't think this is last time you will ever buy parts and they not be what you thought they were, or how you thought they'd work....Get ready, cause you will be buying parts over and over trying to see what works best..This is part of hot rodding, we can certainly narrow down your choices, but nobody's gonna be able to hit right the first time out the gate...This is why I reccomended USED/REBUILT carb, compared to the $650.00 for a new carb...I mean everybody would love to be able to get it right the first time, but it just don't happen all the time....Only way I'd buy a ysed carb is if I could varify somehow if it was rebuilt or bought new by someone that I trusted to know what hell they were doing if I were in your shoes....If you haven't had any luck with or rebuilding carb's in the past, I wouldn't reccomend it now....

There is a local hot rod shop I am hoping can help.

But don't Holley or demon sell factory refurbished?
That I would trust.

There are just too many great rebuilt carbs on the internet,  and anyone can buy a good review.
This is why I went to the trade section(here)but I guess no one is interested in those hoods.

I was equally hoping some one would know of a good distributor for some cheap carbs.
Like you said no sense spending good coin if I am not sure what will work.

Not A problem Mark, and I'll prolly be down there before you know it..Just be sure to look for a 1958 Plymouth "Christine", Or a Big 'ol Orange Charger with a Big "01" on both Doors and some dude looking like "Cooter"....
