    I think he said $19k.  Looks like a great project car that is pretty complete.  $19k seems high in this market  :dunno:

    if we want to be technical, 19K included 1K transport and 2K for a lift - so you could say 16K for the car, but i think of it all as part of my cost basis in the car

    but let's say 16 for a true apples to apples

    I would suggest you paid a little too much, but not bad. I think its a great project car with a popular color, and if its the original 440-4 barrel it is the basis of a great show car.

    No matter what you paid......... it's a cool car, low options street pounder. No power options.  Thats the way I like them :2thumbs:   You may want to disassemble the engine and look it over. I do see rust on the oil pump filter housing, no telling about condensate inside the engine

    as for the engine, i am told it was "rebuilt" but without any oil in it currently  - is that typical? - won't the exposed metal inside flash rust? - does it matter?

    anyone have feedback on the seat point that Wally made? (ie, they look like 72-74)?

    The car looks like a great project.  It will be a real nice car when done.  The parts look original to the car and original to 1970. The price seems about right to me.  You may have paid a little too high.  Had you not bought it, you may have had to look for a long time to find another car as clean.  I wouldn't worry about what you paid for it at this time. If and when the market goes back up you will be fine on the price. The seats are 72-74 seats.  The 70 seats had a hardshell back on them.  If the back is off it is just frame underneath.
