Edl,
I am glad you maybe able to get a fender tag for your car.
You can post on this board that you are looking for your Fender Tag and Broadcast Sheet information.  You can also go to Moparts.com and ask on that board if anyone has your Fender Tag or Broadcast Sheet too.  Moparts has a place on their board where you can post your VIN number and ask if anyone has the Fender Tag or Broadcast Sheet.   Do you have any of the past owners names? If so maybe one of them might have your Fender Tag or Broadcast Sheet. It is worth a try.  Good luck and let us know how everything goes.

528HemiCuda - that is good to know - i am pretty sure the fender tag is toast - the last owner had the car in the body shop in MN who lost it - now the broadcast sheet...that would be a good find - i will definitely do that

and i will post to moparts.com

i have located the past owner (not the guy who sold me the car - he is a restorer who bought it but decided to flip it) - he is hunting (deer season runs to this Sunday in MN for those who want to know) - i'll try him next week - while i know he does not have the tag (he contaced Galen to do an inspection and make a tag after his body shop lost his), i hope he has some paperwork on the car

thanks

Looks good.  Looks like you have a pretty original car to work with.  I see a 1970 Drivers seat hinge.  From your other pics it looks like the passenger seat is a 72-74.  You may only have to replace 1 seat. Post a pic of the seats side by side and we'll figure out what you have.  You'll find that you have a 72-74 rear seat. Don't worry about it.  The seat frame and foam is the same as 1970.  The rear seat may have a build sheet.  It would be really unusual if it fit your car since the seats are not 1970. If it goes to another car send it to Barry and Barry might be able to find the owner of the car the build sheet goes to.

ok - Galen inspection over - he will issue a fender tag    :woohoo:

car is all there where it matters - EXCEPT the tranny - everything else seems to be original and fairly complete

C6P - you aren't imagining things - seller had another 70 and swapped those seats out for the 72's that came with the car

now he confirmed the car, Galen shared the fender tag data with me - AM, 15" wheels, black hockey stripe, lemon twist yellow, black vinyl roof, no power options, no a/c,

well...now that is done, what next... ... ...oh, time to restore the car   - Dear Moderator can you please move this thread to a restoration section? - i'll keep it going from there - thanks

Congratulations.  I am glad you can get your tag.  I would contact the seller of your car.  If he has the seats out of it he may have your buildsheet. Get to him before he sells the car the seats are in.  Good Luck.

Nice to see a great car came into the hands of someone that can bring it back to life.

And now I think we can all agree---------------------- you made a great deal!

I'm impressed Galen came out to you so quick to get it verified.
Did he tell you how long till you can expect to get your new tags?

So did he at least give the complete Fender tag readout in the meantime till it shows?
If he did, what are they?

Now that the dust is settled; what are your resto plans?
Will you be doing a full rotisserie resto?
