Take Pictures of everything.  Take everything apart.  Repair or replace everything that needs repaired or replaced and put it back together.

sorry for the delay

lost 2 weeks because the dog ate the garage installers homework and so he screwed up the order - once track comes in and the door gets high lifted, i can install the lift

can't walk around the car right now until that gets done

still having non car related delays - compressor has broken crankshaft - garage door guy flaked - found another - 1 week into the 2 to 3 week wait on track ordered

BUT, today something car related did happen - Galen sent a draft decode, copied below - can i ask you all a favor - pls look at it and at the pictures of the car earlier in the thread - is there an obvious disconnect? - thanks

What do you mean by disconnect?  The paperwork seems to match the car.

C6P - thanks - yes - that is what i mean - there may be a mismatch  (between the car and the papwer work ) that is obvious  to you guys but that i would not notice - that is what i meant - sorry that i was unclear

from what i can tell it matches - but, for example, there is somethinmg called a "trak package" - i have no idea what that is to know if it is correct or not

another example: is says "F Series" next to the year - i know these are "E Body" cars - but also recognize that F is the 7th letter and so may stand for 1970 - but can't say for sure - take from C6P's email that the F is correct

that kind of thing

thanks and again, sorry for not being clear

F series is for 1970.  The A33 track pack is for the dana with a 3:54 ratio.

Got a call from Galen's office - Tag is ordered - confirmed that what he found on the inspection agreed in whole with the fender tag info he had received back in 2001 - the person that called that in is a broker - hope to track him down and speak to him - as an advance on the report, they let me know that the car is 1 of 1 - don't know how much that means: if you pull enough variables, i guess everything can be unique - either way, it is probably a low number car based on options that matter - i think the search parameters they used is that engine, 4 speed, the rear end, vinyl roof and a couple of other things (color) - guess i'll have more fun facts once i receive the report

There is no way to know how many cars were built how.  What this means is your car is 1 of 1 known to be built; not 1 of 1 built by Chrysler.

yep

same car - except he did not have tag - that cost me another 2K from G Govier - but there were a bunch of boxes of stuff

also, he came off of 28K - i watched the car for 2 years - when it first came on CL in 2008, it was at 38K - so tracked the recession pretty accurately

by way of update, finally have the lift set up in in the garage - believe it or not, that just happened this past weekend - don't ask - it took months to get the garage door high lifted

and so my restoration officially started yesterday with the removal of the starter motor - woo hoo!!
