Are you really sure you want to trade for something thats not as unique as yours?
A 72' -73' E body? I wouldn't.

But if you want a running project, that might be whats offered.

:iagree:Too bad to hear.  From what I have seen your car is pretty solid.  If you were to get a running project, it may need the same work your car does.  The only difference is that it would be together.  To have a done car equal to what  you have, you will have to sell yours, add a bunch of cash, and then get another one. I am sure you have thought through this already.  I understand where you are.  I have 5 of them to do and go back and forth with the same decisions.  I stick with them because I can't afford a done one.  I can't afford to replace what I have.  I am crazy and want to see at least 3 of them through.  You have to do what is best for you.

On some cars, if I look at the big picture and all that I have to do, it becomes overwhelming.  I have a car here that needs welding done on EVERY body panel. That can be discouraging.  The way I do it, is to divide the project into sections or tasks.  This is good for the moral because you can see something getting accomplished.  Next thng you know the car is getting done.  For instance, the dash can be a great task to do.  You can put it on a bench and do it a piece at a time until it is the way you want it to be in the car.  Once it is done, you can also look back on it when you get discouraged and say, "I am getting something done. I can do this.  What section is next?"

I suppose I could be considered the poster boy for biting off a big chunk. There is nothing on my car that I haven't fixed or have yet to fix. My doors are in good shape.   I started at the back of the car and am working my way forward. Whenever I get frustrated, I simply look at what I have done. A couple hours at a time goes a long way. Don't get in a hurry. It starts to get really fun!

hey all - sorry to have been away so long - car is at the shop for some body work and paint - actually, it has been there for six months - and still has yet to be painted   - maybe the reason shops do this to us is because they know that after all the money they will take off of us, we don't have any money left to  do anything else

anyway here are some pics of where things were and where they have come:

Good to see you back.  Looks like you are making progress.  It takes awhile and gets frustrating before it is done.  It will be worth it.
