:scared:hej, good you keept the car.now go get the car from that bodyshop, get some new/more body panels and a welder, and do it yourself. to cool car and $$$ to waste it by cutting up new panels to weld to rusty panels. please think about it,Anders

Ya,it may be time to either get the shop to do some seriuos work on the car or pull it out and either find another shop or better yet do it yourself.A lot of us have learned to weld by doing our own cars and it`s not as difficult as you think. It does require you to dedicate a lot of time working on it which you may not have.

well...it took longer than i thought to pull the car - that happened in March of this year - i am now going after those crooks for all the money they took me for in return for the small amount of work they did...but that is another story

for now, it is in my garage waiting for the next step -

Torredcuda - would love to try my hand at welding - but you hit the nail on the head when you said "It does require you to dedicate a lot of time working on it which you may not have." - i do not have that kind of time right now -

will let you know how it goes

bottome line - i have not given up !!

Don't give up.
Try to make the time.
Time re-management, re planning if possible.

All it takes is 4-6 hrs a wk. if that's all you can do and you'll see progress.

Mig welding spot welds isn't that difficult to learn. Plenty of info on youtube to watch.
Rolled nickel pattern: that takes alot of practice. Better to tig weld for that.
