Jerico w/RB in E-Body
« on: November 15, 2004 - 07:02:34 AM »
Greetings enthusiasts,
having a winter here in the arctic finland and time to plan the next summerish show-down. Does anybody of you performance enthusiasts have experience on sticking 5sp Jerico road racing gear box behind the RB in E-Body?? As I see the most interesting part comes when discussing about input shaft and bellhousing... somewhat also the frame going above the gearbox in a chassis.
Other idea could be also Liberty.. lenco would be too extreme for our Sooooooooo beloved inspection authorities  stomp.... otherwise the smog/emission laws doesn't count our oldies  burnout

Cheers

Hóla...
you're guessing right, mate. About 0C in our scale, roughly 30F w/ your scale  gripe.... and raining like hell, not snow but water!!! Actually i made some local findings and we have one Challenger w/Jerico 4sp!!!!! It's a stock car, runs 10.3-10.5 quarter miles!!! And the driver said he'd enjoyed hell of a lot to stick the car with jerico!!! Have to also discuss with him.

I have my great vision for next spring to build All aluminum 572" w/ jerico 5 sp  driving...... but it requires some puzzlework to be lucky, oye!!

pics..hmmm... i have all kinds of pics of my plum.. try to attach the car itself  worship

it runs 500cid, all alu parts, comp mech roller and manual w/3.91 rear.. now with 11,5" MT's

Sorry mate, not that one..haven't tried 1/4 mile yet so no idea  dontknow.. we have few stock cars than runs low 10's in stock eliminator

I did one run with my previous 440 with 906 heads... 14s/106mph with slipping clutch (driver accelerated WAY FASTER than a car  gripe)... no runs yet with 500cid... should run somewhere close 11.5 though... at least in a  beer chat  grinyes

here's one picture of the bulky iron_alu combo, all engineered and assembled by myself, so I'm the only one to be blamed if it doesn't run good  tongue

Yo Bubba's !!!
you're still sleeping cause we have the "early birdy" here  coffee

Yes, I have spring relo kit.. the rear shackle is from MP and I did my own front hanger. Leafs are custom made from original, one leaf added+ reshaped for more into "strip"-style. I'm running now Centerline Hellcat's w/rear 8,5*15 and 5" backspacing. that fills the tyre right in the middle between spring and fender ..about 3/4" reserve to play in each side, and rear tires 28*11,5 MT Sportsman pro. those in the picture are BFG 295/50/15 but hey, i did two traffic lights w/ 500cid and 3.91..you can guess the end result...smokin' worship burnout worship
So next thing was MT's.. and they're pretty nice, allthough 1./2. gear it'll  burnout allover to 6500rpm

Plumpak has pretty much same steamer  worship except the cam, so we should be somewhere in the same monster area  grinyes . And Bubba's.. I love the way how the mech roller gives the revs and torque..mmmm  guitar and sticking that to manual  drool!!!

I could throw some pics from the rear end spacing so Plum gets also the idea  grinyes

about the cars behind... above it looks like Mercedes Vito.. in the engine pic it's my daily cruiser 90 Roots T-Bird ..of cource with manual  grinyes grinyes grinyes

Then a F-F-F-Fast Chally  fire  fire fire
More fast Cuda's with hoooooood'uuuuuuuups  guitar guitar guitar

have fun!!!
