100 mph is awfully low for 12.44. I don't think that's possible even with perfect traction.

Sorry typo. It was 110 mph.

I guess we will see. He also stated that this was the only vehicle that was going to have the 6.4 in it and the a the SRT8 would keep the 6.1. Does anyone know for sure?

All SRT8's will have the 6.4L. The Challenger is going to be the first 2011 to offer this engine.

With the George Washington ads, why wasn't the production run 1,776?

Is it really so important if you were in the market for a 2011 SRT8 to buy an "inaugural edition"?

According to Dodge's website the CHALLY 394 HEMI will be available in alot more colors than just white or blue, maybe, as is often the case, it would be worthwhile to wait as long as possible before purchasing, you could get a larger choice of colors, and, the dealers couldn't use the  "inaugural edition" as a selling point, and thus maybe jack up the price. Let's be real, what do you get in the inaugural edition vs a "regular edition"? 2 choices of colors and 394 stitched on the seats? BFD, its the performance we want, same engine in both, same options available, I just don't get why one would have to rush to get an "inaugural edition". If the 1492 units were all that were being produced this yr that would be another story

I bought mine because white has not been offered in an SRT, and neither has DWB.

If someone wants one of these, there are plenty for sale at or below MSRP.

I am paying $2500 under MSRP.

They had one of the #392 editions at the Calgary auto show. They want $57K for it and our $$ is 2c higher than the greenback. sales guy tried to hook me - I said no thanks I will wait until the hype wears down. A better buy would be the 2010 R/T that the local dealer has in Fuschia, white RT stripe, 6 spd, supr trak pak etc. For $39K that i a better collectible unless they bring 'pink' out again.

That's inline with what I got my Toxic Orange for. It was 6pm on a Saturday night at the end of the month (4/30) so bargaining went swiftly. Took about an hour and the car was mine.
