:poopoke: got my HEMI killing Wedge shortblock done the other day  :stirpot:

Do a comparable HEMI and the killing will happen to the wedge.    :grinyes:

Congrats on getting that beast together.  Have you settled on what all will end up being done to the engine? Huge stroker motor perhaps?   :stirpot:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I'd MUCH rather get outrun in a WEDGE by a HEMI, than in A HEMI by a WEDGE....

Too many buyin' into the hype on that motor...No such thing as a "Street" HEMI...After it's done up as a high HP engine, it's considered a big money race type engine...HEMI = Have Enormous Money Invested....

My take on this is an engine is an air pump plain & simple so the Hemi is more efficent at moving air so the Hemi has more POTENTIAL to make power .
That said the Hemi will cost far more to build so for $ spent the 440 / stroker will win out .
The Pull of the Hemi at speed is amazing !!

Those who don't have a Hemi, wishes they had a Hemi.

Those with a Hemi, never wishes they'd rather have a wedge.

Too bad that Chrysler designed wedge heads so poorly.  Comparing them to a big block chevy head, the wedge head is like a small block's.

Those who don't have a Hemi, wishes they had a Hemi.NOT true..There's only ONE reason IMO people want, or have to have a Hemi..."It's a Hemi" and "Look at me".."I don't race it cause it costs too much when it breaks, but it's a Hemi"...

Those with a Hemi, never wishes they'd rather have a wedge.Again, NOT true. Most times owning a Hemi is like owning a boat..There are only TWO times when it is great..The day you bought it and the day you sold it....

Too bad that Chrysler designed wedge heads so poorly.  Comparing them to a big block chevy head, the wedge head is like a small block's.Funny, the 440+6 was right beside the All mighty Hemi back in the day with those sh*tty heads? And this is why there is INDY and B1....
