She's in the hospital
« on: November 15, 2004 - 10:49:23 PM »
I bought my 71 Barracuda in March of '98.  She was rough.  I initially thought I would slap it together.  Well after years of tinkering and part stockpiling, the old girl was dropped off at the paintshop for her 5 month stay Thursday.   I noticed her sitting on the hill by the shop with the front clip, doors, and trunk lid off today. As ugly as it seemed, it was a beautiful sight to finally get the project going.

That's fantastic, Limecuda!  So, you have 5 months to clean old parts, organize, and dream!  Not a bad way to spend the winter.  I don't remember ever seeing your car...have you posted pics?

I have a couple pics from Thursday I'll try to get up.  I was gonna go Lime now it looks like Silver with custom black or charcoal stripes.  It is gonna sound sacrilege to some but I am thinking custom striping around each bulge on the hood with 2 stripes down the top.  Lots of chrome and possibly 17/18 wheels.

That visual doesn't sound that bad.  Just as long as the wheel sizes don't get knocked up to 19"/22"s it'll be all good. gripe grinyes tongue

I noticed her sitting on the hill by the shop with the front clip, doors, and trunk lid off today.

Can I have the front clip, then? ;D

Sounds like your car is well on its way! Will it be painted Lime Green, by any chance?
