Hi, decided to join this forum, as it seems quite interesting and full of information that I like!
I'm finally beginning to work on my AAR and it sure is fun. I purchased the car in 1997, drove it for a little bit (500 miles of cruising around) and then it sat parked until last year. I forgot how much fun it was, but it needs serious TLC. It's basically a survivor car (other than a repaint done in the mid 70's), has 97K on it and it shows. Loosey goosey front end, worn out upholstery and carpeting, tired engine, etc. Even still has old Cooper bias tires on it!
I just want to make it into a 20/20 car that I'm not afraid to drive and get paint scars.
I just bought a fresh 727 to put into it (the other thing not original on this car) and am currently building a small block stroker so I can tuck the #'s matching engine into a corner before I grenade it.
Looking forward to keep working on it and make some camaraderie on the forum!
