Every oil change or 3K miles is normal.  Do you romp on the car at all.  Excessive torque could brinell the cross and prevent the needles from rotating properly.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

"Honest officer, I never romp on this.  Its my price posession. I baby it."

Translation: hell yeah I romp on it.

LOL

I dont think I have excessive torque though.....318, j heads, cam, intake, carb, headers....goes good, but with 2.76 gears there isnt excessive low end (Hoping to switch to 3.55s).....

So, how do you know they are "hardened" ?

The first ujoints I bought (one of which is still in the car, tranny end) are "super heavy duty" units from napa.....for 4x4s.

It said so on the box?  :dunno:

yeah....it had a picture of a 4x4 and said "super heavy duty".....they listed for $45 at NAPA....they sold them to me for half that. 9Go figure...I HATE that stupidity too...put the real damn price on stuff!)

It could have been I didnt lube enough, the vibes I had, the angle or maybe all 3....or the tech who put them in the shaft for me could have screwed uo...who knows.

Well, this time at least I know the tech did th best he could (me).....LOL
