Next up was the front suspension. The frame rails will go from bumper to bumper as one continuous pair of rails. The front frame rails will rise over the k frame so the front suspension can be sucked up into the car. Matt came up with the design and I love it. The front rails looked good from the outside after blasting them but once a window was cut, they were disgusting on the inside with 45 years worth of dirt, rust, and mouse poop.

It's not fully boxed yet but this picture does a good job of showing material thickness, the welded nut plate, and the reinforcing tubes.

This showed up at UPS yesterday so i picked it up and drove straight to Matt's. I put money down on this thing back in February. My wheels took forever to get finished, and 345 size tire shortage wasted another 4 months. I made upgrade changes to my order and ended up with a powder coated Strange 60 with 4.10 S trak sure grip, upgraded axles, and forged yoke. I also ordered a housing that supported a torque arm. I was excited to open the box...

... and just my , but you might want to consider white stripes on that B5/B5 combo. They really pop. :-)

Nice deal. Pretty much the same build as mine. Mines pretty much finished though minus a few wires and fuel system to be plugged in, but you will be there before you know it. And I recommend going with air ride like mine if you plan on going that low. It will help out a lot.
