Video game with Challenger on cover?
« on: November 24, 2010 - 08:20:39 PM »
I've had at least 2 guys come up to me asking how fast my car is and what will it do.  They then go on to say they been playing video game with my exact same car on cover.

Did a search and couldn't find anything, any ideas?

My car is a sublime T/A clone.

At least 2 other car's with mid-20's guys pull up wanting me to hit it, not really looking to race, I think they believe my car should do all they crazy things the video game does.   :dunno:

I don't know but I had a guy come up to me and say "DUDE!!! I was driving your car last night!!!"

I said "wha???"

Dude says "In a game man.  Killer car!"

He didn't know what the game was called.

I remember two games featuring a Challenger on front cover.

This is maybe one year old or so

My Challenger was used to advertise Driver 2 in magazines and was on the front cover of PS Pro magazine and the official Playstation Magazine just over 10 years ago now. It also featured in the LA section of the game.

Although the front grille and rear lights were changed to keep Chrysler happy, the actual engine sounds were recorded from my car.

My Challenger was also used to advertise a later game called Stuntman but only in a more minor role.

Newer Challenger...

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

There is another cover for the charger vs challenger one that has a white 74 chally in the background, a red charger, and a orange 70 chally

Sorry, off topic....but who would win in a 1/4 mile race?  The SRT8 Challenger or the '68 Charger with lets say a 426 Hemi......425hp vs 425hp or so they advertise....  :dunno:  :stirpot:

The Challenger, it can put the power to the ground better. SRT-8's stock have been seen doing high 12's.  68 Hemi Charger are usually around mid-low 13's.

Never seen the white Challenger cover?

My Challenger advertising Driver 2. They alter real images to make them look like they are from the game. Note the front valance panel was out of shape back then. :icon16:

Here is my Challenger advertising the "Stuntman" game. It was just a small background detail in this ad. I put a "before" and "after image in there too so you can see how they took the shot of my car "crashing".
