Ya those two were idiots, careless, just plain dumb! But I can't say I agree with this new trend of the government taking someones personal property. Between huge fines and impounding your car ( huge money to get it back) and especially when their insurance companies get wind of it all, they will see their insurance rates go x5 at least. I'm all for suspending a license for a year or two, fines etc( I drive on the roads too as well as my family/loved ones).... BUT this trend with the government seizing personal property is a slippery slope! Look at the "street racing" laws in Ohio. Where does it end? Where is the line? So you rev up your engine to clear out the carb and you could get nailed with street racing and "they" take ( steal) your car? Or down the road the old cars are considered an environmental issue so a tow truck shows up at your house and STEALS your prized car? Think about it! REALLY THINK about it!
Wake up folks! This is how it starts, the "government" widens the crack in the "armour" under the disguise of "they deserve it" the majority of the people don't push back because they are thinking with there emotions instead of logic. Next thing ya know socialists/communists have a foot hold, and down the slippery slope we go...... history shows what happens next.
This "liberal" ideology, or "liberal social engineering" that seems to be prevalent all around me drives me nuts! I'm sorry to say , but IMO people are like sheep, to stupid to do there own thinking. The government tells them how/what to think and it seems to me the majority of the sheep follow along.
It doesn't matter what party is elected they ALL need to have a leash on them, the government AND the people need to realize it's the PEOPLE that are in charge NOT the government. When that gets hazy look out! The minute your "trust" any government ......look out your in trouble! They are like a dog, support them care for them etc.... but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, keep them on a leash and make sure THEY know who is in charge!
I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I'm not a "sheep" either!
