colorado collector car plates
« on: November 18, 2004 - 04:52:57 AM »
so anyway, bought the 70, and wasn't going to bother registering it until after the rebuild.
cute gal behind the counter said it's only $2 more to get the temp tags.
my reply "2 dolllllars, i want my 2 dolllllars" if you know the movie you know the voice it was said in. sweet car even though it was a camaro.
anyway got the temp tags.
went down to the emissions station couple days ago. figured it's only $15 bucks might as well try. after punching a new hole in the muffler to get enough noxious fumes for the sniffer (emissions guys rolling on ground laughing by this point), finally got the test machine happy enough to run.
IT PASSED!!! no way, you sure you got the right car? sweet.
went back to dmv today. flirted with cute girl more....

her: so you want regular tags or collector tags? collectors are more and less at same time. ~120 for 5 years, but pay all at once.
me: sure give me them thar collector tags.
her: oh, did you know when you get collector tags in colorado you never have to get emissions done again?

SCHWING!!!
happy camper here. tags will still be good when i get her done, and can do whatever i want without worrying about emissions. schwing schwing

oh, also got her #, have a date sat. ;P
I found the meaning of life once, but forgot to write it down.

Great story P6P!  Who knows, maybe in a couple of years from now you can write a great country song...."I met my wife at the DMV..."  Hope Saturday night works out!
