Holy crap!   I never saw the original post and have been away for a while lately due to a death in our family and my wife being ill.....GEEZ!   SO GLAD to see you are doing ok! :woo:

"stroke" seems to be a big one lately.....a guy I went to school with and who is my age (42/43) just died from a massive stroke....my old man had one at age 42/43 so I am worried.....I try and work out etc , thinking that would help but I know you are in good shape....so I guess no one is safe.

Anyways, glad you are ok!

I back.   :bananasmi

Thank you Ken for helping me with my computer issues   :worshippy

As an update, I have been progressing well here. In fact I tried jogging today. It wasn't pretty, and you could time me with an hourglass, but it's a start. My speech is still a little off, and I still have weakness in me right hand. It's amazing how quickly I became ambidextrous.   :grinyes:

It feels good to be back here though. I want to thank all you well wishers for hanging in there with me. Your support means a lot to me.

How is your progress coming along Mike?
Have you improved any from physical therapy?

Hope your improving back to the way you once were.

Thanks for asking Mike.

I'm happy with the progress so far. You don't notice it day to day, but over a period of a couple of weeks, you sure do. Strength wise, I'd say my right side is 10-15% weaker than my left. The real difference is in motor skills, or reflexes. For example, I would get slaughtered if I tried to play someone in ping-pong. Hopefully that will come along in time. Heck, after this happened, I couldn't tie my shoes or write my name, so there was nowhere to go but up.

I don't know about that.   :grinno:

My leg is far ahead of my arm. I can pretty much run without a limp, which makes me happy.

Some strange stuff I notice though...Like my right hand and leg are always colder than my left.   :clueless:

Frequently, after a day at work, neither can I.   :grinno:

Mike, great to hear from you and that you are making progress.

As far as the difference in temp, might be because after the stroke, your blood vessels are muscles themselves and they may not be able to respond the same way.  They may be stuck in a state of vasoconstriction, so the blood vessels aren't releasing heat so you right side feels colder than your left.  :2cents:

I don't know what all that means Phil. I was thinking I needed a new thermostat.   :grinyes:

As always guys, I appreciate the jokes.
