I don't know what all that means Phil. I was thinking I needed a new thermostat.   :grinyes:

Means partial plug in the cooling system.  Yes, a new t-stat will work.  Don't forget to lube the muffler bearing!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

My leg is far ahead of my arm. I can pretty much run without a limp, which makes me happy.

Some strange stuff I notice though...Like my right hand and leg are always colder than my left.   :clueless:

Will you be able to go back to work MEK? I'm sure that must be a major concern for you.
Are you still improving?

Well if you do have time off; we have the Bay to Breakers coming up this Spring.
You should come out and enter. It's quite a specatacle watching the crowds running.

I went back to work January 5th. I figured forcing myself to do my job would be the best therapy. It turns out, I was half right. I didn't figure my body still had some recovering to do. I was sleeping 9hrs. a night, and still was ready for a nap by lunchtime.

Another weird thing that took me a while to put 2 and 2 together. Apparently my lungs were affected by the stroke too. I couldn't figure out why I was breathing so hard when I was running slower than I ever had before. I was started running 31 days after the stroke, so I didn't believe I could lose all my fitness so fast. This all became clearer when I went back to work. I couldn't carry on a conversation with anyone unless they were within 10FT. of me. Yep, I can't raise my voice.   :bricks1:  It's better now, but just another thing to deal with.

I would like to do the Bay to Breakers race someday, but I'm afraid I'm still a few month's from racing shape.

( I don't know much about this stuff?) Did they say it was OK for you to be running again so soon? :scared:
Not that I'm "yer Momma" just concerned for you buddy!  :2thumbs: Sounds like you and Al , we need to sew some Velcro to the seat of your pants and a chair for awhile? :poopoke:

The doc says any progress I make will be in the first year. I tried to shorten that to 2 months, but didn't make it.     I want to be back to my old self yesterday.   :pullinghair:  The doc gave me the OK to return to running. The EKG of my heart looks good, and they have me on medication to prevent new blood clots. What could possibly go wrong now??   :icon16:

Good stuff! I can understand why you would want to be rushing it then! Didn't know about the first year thing.

After 3 months of no lifting, it took me 6 months to gain my strength back.  It was weird not being able to lift a 1/2" sheet of plywood at first, I was  :eek7:

Glad you are doing better Mike!

Barry,

This has been humbling to say the least. I had some gorgeous nurses in the hospital... I couldn't even chase them around.   :stomp:

Thank goodness I didn't need a bed pan.   :misbehaving:

MEK all this sounds good, don't push too hard though as the problem is we cannot see into our bodies to find out what is the limit like we can with a car engine.
