Gents:   Im looking for the final %1 to make my decision to go with the FAST EFI system for my '68  440.  I just came into a budget that will allow for the price of the FAST, and Ive done my home work on the various EFI systems out there with about the same approx price....

Im very familiar with EFI:  I had the Eddy proflo on a '69  427 car, and later, on a 502/502, and was very pleased.

For my own reasons I desire to go with the FAST on my 440.  Ill be using my stock intake, shaker set up, etc.  Calls with FAST shows the EFI is just about the same height as a carter, and my shaker set up should work fine.  I dont mind slight mods to the shaker base, if I need to

But away from those points, I'd like solid info from guys that are actually running the FAST now:   Any feedback on how thier FAST system runs, installation issues, quality of feedback from thier techies/support line after the sale, etc would be really appreciated and will make the basis on whether or not I go with the FAST system

Also, if you are running another brand EFI system besides the FAST that is about the same price range the FAST, let me know what you are running (aside from home built ones), and why you chose that system

Thanks.

I pieced together a system that works awesome , it uses a SDSEFI computer [ http://sdsefi.com/ ] this comes with its own hand held programmer so no laptop is needed , an accufab 1200 CFM throittle body , 2 Walbro fuel pumps , Eddy Victor intake drilled for injectors & comes with rails & used Bosch 65 lb / hr injectors
unfortunatly I have no experience with the Fast system but I have heard good things about them

I have run plenty of FAST systems, both current model and the classic. The cost of their proprietary wideband is a little high when it comes time to replace, but there are mods to allow you to use regular widebands. If you don't need the few extra bells and whistles of the new FAST look for a good used classic system and save half the cost. The online support in various forums is very helpful as it is very popular. I also like the Big Stuff system, but it is not as popular so less support out there. I would stay away from the gen VII DFI and the Thruster system, both from Accel/mr Gasket as their support is nonexistant even though the product is very nice.

umber one recommendation is find a good vendor who knows the system and can help you versus the lowest prices on Ebay. You never mentioned lowest price and seem to have done your research so I bet you will do just fine.

King  Thanks for the input

Cryco:  Your system is a little to exotic for me, but sounds like a great set up for your purposes
