Multiple Questions
« on: December 03, 2010 - 10:51:01 AM »
Hi Guys - hope you don't mind a few misc. questions. I've done a couple of history searches and just want to make sure I understand (73 Challenger)

Seam Sealer - goes between the front fenders and the engine bay and then down the firewall splash guards right? If so - do I paint over the sealer, or does the sealer go over the paint?

Was also thinking about an interior transplant - don't curse me, but I was thinking a late 70's Camaro/Firebird console would be a nice replacement for the 73 factory. Anyone ever done this?

Last question - I was thinking that seats froma  Seabring convertivle have integrated seatbelts  - is that correct and how hard do you think it would be to put those into my chally (like the 3 point harness thing)

Comin' at ya like a herd of turtles

I just dissassmebled the front end off my 72 Cuda and it had never been apart. Looks like to me that the seam sealer was put in place, then body parts installed and then painted. As far as the console its your choice but than is something I absolutly would not do and I think I speak for the majority of Mopar guys. Rather than so that I would build a custom part before I'd put a GM console in. As far as the seats... I love the original seats but then again its your car! :2thumbs:
