New to C-C
« on: December 07, 2010 - 08:54:02 PM »
Hey everyone. This is my first post, just registered. I live in NE WI, picked up a 1974 Challenger this past summer. I had a 1973 "back in the day", and another 1974 for a short time in 1981 or so. This car was originally a 318 Rallye car, now has a stock 1968-spec 340 but still sports the 904 tranny. Originally Yellow/Black vinyl top, now all black. I would have liked the yellow better, but the underside is in nice shape and it's a lot easier for me to change mechanicals than it is to do bodywork.

Wow, there sure is a lot of emoticons to pick from!!  :newbie:

Tried to put up a pic, got a message saying the folder is full.

Guess I gotta figure out how to use photobucket.

I get that every once in a while.  Just try it again.  Is your photo too large? That can cause it to not load.

I would love to go back to yellow w/black vinyl top. I saw a new Challenger in Yellow-they had a cute name for it-that looked like it might be worth checking out.

Two things stand in my way, money and skill, or lack thereof. I am absolutely worthless at bodywork, so I would have to hire it done, and the good guys(ie, the ones I would be comfortable hiring)don't work cheap. I hope to get the body cleaned up/redone at some point, but I need to know where the money is coming from first.

I have other issues that need to be dealt with first-wiring, exhaust, wheels/tires, maybe tranny.
