I know he has a long road to go down but he's made the first step. I'm sure he wanted it deleated because it's hard to talk about. I've been dealing with it for 10 years and still most people don't know this of my past. it's really something most people don't understand unless you have been on that edge.

I spoke to Dave. He is in the hospital getting treatment.  :2thumbs: His phone goes to voice mail. So I'm assuming the hospital took his phone. They usually take there phones when their in treatment.

OldSchool deleted it. I really wasn't sure if it belonged here anyway. I'm glad Dave sought help. It had such a radical title. I had a friend that kept doing stuff like that to get attention. One time hanging out a window. We all feaked out and pulled him back in. Stuff like that again and again. After a while we just had to ignore him. We got so tired of it that we just said if it happens it happens, we were done with him. If he did it to punish us later, life would have gone on without him.

When he first posted, we should have sent the police over to get him help, then deleted it.  Just my 2 cents

They take EVERYTHING from you! There's nothing in the room but a bed and they are constantly checking in.

Thanks Jackie for the update, I take back my comment about it maybe being a hoax. Now he can get the help and hopefully his family are in a position to help and maybe somebody from here that is close can be able to hook up with him so he won't go back to the looser friends he had.

I removed the "suicide" thread for a couple of reasons.

1 - A thread of this nature doesn't belong on this board at all. But since it was posted, in order to not push Dave, it was allowed to stand until he recieved help.  After it was noted that he was recieving help, the thread was removed as it was no longer serving any good function.

2 - I think that AFTER he gets help and is moving forward, he doesn't need to see his own "Suicide" thread when he decides to log in and say hello.

As far as sending him help, that wasn't feasible. We have no personal information other than his e-mail addy. Myself and several others spoke with him personally during the crisis, via phone and in chat. That seemed to help him a lot.

I would really like to see this thread go away also for the same reasons listed above. Hopefully you all will read this and move along and allow this one to die off and fade away into deeper pages.

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks Ken.

I never saw anything like this on a car forum before.  I assumed others here knew where he lived and could get to him. Just like you did when you contacted him.

Let's move on to car talk!
