quarter skin removal question...

Its ovious that two different shops installed the rear quarter skins on my car at different points of its life. Now that I have stripped the paint from them it looks like a 3 year old installed the left side. Its over lapped and the edges are very ragged like someone cut it down with a hack saw and them put 3 gallons of mud on top to hide their handy work. If you look from the inside of the trunk the original panel also looks like it was trimmed out by a drunk guy with a chain saw! I'm astonished by what I am finding. My thought is that the left panel is actually a used panel off another car. Ok I can deal with that panel. My question is that the right panel is lapped underneath the original panel and looks like it was glued in place?
?? I'll give that guy a little credit as both the replacement skin and the original panel cut very neatly. Now how do I remove the bonding material to get the skin off the car?

keep grinding it away or use a torch to warm up the bonding adhesive,I believe it has to be warmed up to 400 degrees for this stuff to break down,if that is infact what was used to bond the skin on.
