Idler Arm Install Help
« on: November 19, 2004 - 04:47:13 PM »
I am trying to install a new idler arm on my Challenger. Is there a trick getting the washers in? I had to pry the old idler out.
There doen't seem to be enough space for the idler and the 2 washers.  Thanks for any help.

It sounds as though you may have something bent. After removing the nut and bolt, the arm should come out and the new one with washers should slide in its place.  If you need a pic let me know as I have just replaced mine.. :)

:iagree:  Nothing a little spreading/prying shouldn't fix.
