I am looking to put my battery in my trunk. Is it ok to weld my stock tray onto my trunk pan on the passenger side and use the J-hooks and battery hold-down? Currently I am using an Optima battery, but when it dies, I want to use a stock appearing resto battery. What way to I run the positive and negative cables? Is it ok to run them down the drivers side with the trunk harness and speaker wires? Where will they come out of the firewall? Or do I have to come up with a different route
? Is it possible to ground the battery in the trunk and just use a engine ground strap? Or will that cause corrosion somewhere in between? I am really not very good with electricity, and I want to minimize my future issues with this project. My goal is to do it right the first time with out complications, and have it look good at the same time. Am I asking too much? Thanks in advance for any help you guys give me.
