Started raining Sat night and then turned to snow during the night, not much accumulation, maybe 2" max. but roads are real slick with the mix of rain and snow. Highs last week (until Sat. morn) were in the mid 20's - low 30's, was like 14 here this morning though. It's just getting started and I hate this stuff already.  :stomp:

I have my own business ( small engine repairs) so I've been swamped with snowblower calls. Average of 15 hour days last week. Last Monday I got a call from a nearby military base and when I got there first thing in the morning they had 3 feet of snow in their driveway! As soon as I stopped the van I was stuck so I just stuffed it into their driveway. It was a case of fix their snowblower or stay there! :smilielol: Getting my moneys worth outta those insulated coveralls! :grinyes: We have had snow all week. I slept Sunday afternoon as I was so exhausted! The weather man is calling for more snow al week! :faint:  Good for business but hard on the bones!

I'm thinking MAYBE? just maybe we will have a white Christmas here? ::)

Man I've been dreading winter.  My "drivers" consisted of a RWD Lincoln LS that has stuff going wrong all the time, and my old Ram 1500 that the roadsalt has pretty much been putting the final nails in its coffin-one gas strap rusted off so the tank is only being held on by one other, U joints all rusty and crusty, and the 4WD is broke.  My job I got last summer is over 25 miles one way.
So Saturday I went a dealer and managed to trade in my wheezing Lincoln and a modest monthly payment for a front wheel drive '08 Focus, Saturday night it snowed and the winds kicked up above 40 mph, but I am ready now!  :woohoo:
Quite a load off my mind, I'd really been worried facing snow and ice without a reliable vehicle and without a good winter driver.
What a ridiculous situation, 6 cars but nothing to drive...no more of that!
I've heard new Challengers like my '09 are actually pretty good in the snow with the traction control, but after watching salt destroy several of my cars and trucks over the years, no way.  On the way to work today I did see a purple SRT8 on the road, all gray with salt spray. A sad sight indeed!  :crying:

I just moved up here east of Pittsburgh a couple months ago from Texas and all I can say is it snows too damn much up here! It's snowed more in three weeks than it has the last four years back home (not counting the freak storms last year, we actually got 9 inches! It was a record!).

I just don't like that it's too cold in the garage to work on the car!

:22yikes:  Detroit metro area reporting in with ice, snow, 40 mph winds, and lots of accidents........other than that it's just another Michigan winter day!

It's so cold you have to open the fridge to heat the house.

I just finished 16 hours straight of plowing snow. Blah! We have had it easy, so far the storms have missed us by a hair. I feel sorry for everyone else, they are getting smashed.

Northern Wisconsin is still holding up well...The SW portion of the state is another story from what I've heard, though.

Hey JH27N0B go get your car sprayed with Krown.
As far as snow Toronto has a dusting, but all around us has it higher then a super models hips.
People trapped for 36 hrs on the 402 between Sarnia and London.
Man that is worse then sucks.
I'll stay here in Tropical Toronto, shop heat on, cold beer, internet and warm wrenches.
Ohhhh, I can feel Karma coming to get me for saying that.

I'm about 45 mins from Sarnia & London but we just got a few cms of snow. It is windy and cold outside.
And yep, our shop's warm, beer's cold and the cars are all tucked in for the winter.

Even if your Mopars are nicely stored away, you still need to take care of your main daily driver of course. Friends and I go Ocean fishing and I can tell you; it tears boats up if you don't take care of em.

After pulling the boat out on the trailer, sometimes you see salt crystals shining in the Sun. It doesn't take long for Salt to begin accumulating.

What we use is Salt Away.

This stuff is great to get road salt, sea salt, completely gone. Good way to use it is to dilute it into a pest control pressure sprayer that has a wand. Then go over the whole car and up underneath too if you can. You can buy it at boat supply stores like West Marine.
