I think it was Shadango that had one for sale.

How bad is the one you have?  I've seen some people get theirs zinc plated.  It doesn't look 100% stock but looks good.  If yours doesn't have any rust holes all the way throught it, that might be an option.

 :dunno:

The Challenger ones were lead dipped too and they're in the trunk out of the elements.  I can see zinc plating not lasting long if it's exposed to the elements.  These cars aren't subjected to the same conditions that they were exposed to when new.  I think zinc should last in a car that's not driven in the salt.

I think Eastwood has a special clearcoat that could be used over the top of it to increase its life.

I don`t think it had to do with protection from rust, but with preventing static electricity

I had a 70-71 for sale and its sold.

I have my old 72 filler tube, but the mouth of it would need worked to make the correct cap fit it right......thats why I swapped mine out to begin with.....The cap I was using on it didnt fit right....and the correct cap didnt click in...but it might be abel to be tweaked to work if you have the right cap to keep testing with....

I also have another 70-71 tube but it has a small pinhole that would need repaired.  The 70-71 version has the depressed "bump" in it.

If interested, PM me.

I was told that you could weld up small pinholes....I also wondered if JB weld could work.....

In the end I ended up finding one that didnt have any holes, just a few pits....so used that one...

You can braze up pin holes.  I had my father in law braze some pinholes in my vapor separator.  I ended up filling the pits with filler.  I painted the separator with Eastwoods gas tank paint.  That might look OK on the filler tube too.
