Today I mounted the doors back on the car to get an idea of positioning the quarter panels. I stripped the hood and started some more welding. Not very productive day with the joy ride and all the customers stopping by today.

Earlier in my thread I had mentioned the 1970 Dodge Duster Best of Show car. Well he came by today and took me for a spin, I am going to take a vid next time of the instrument cluster. All I know is that it was the ride of my life. With the 4.88's in the rear its a 7 sec. car. I have never felt the G's pull like that on anything!!

Here are some pics of the Duster.

I wish I had more to share this time around, Im at the point now where all Im doing it welding, welding and more welding. I have more too do but getting closer to getting it done. The rotisserie is built but we are in the middle of making brackets to attach the car too it. I cant believe the quality of this machine, only 1000$ and it comes with casters, solid tube frame, bearing rollers AND a crank handle for geared rotation, I havent seen anything come close to this quality for this price. I honestly think there is no way I could make it myself for this price.

We are going to try and have the car mounted on the rotiserrie by the end of the day if everything goes well so hopefully I will have some pictures by then.

Looking great!  I'm wrapping up welding in all the new metal on my car and am about ready to drop mine on a tisserie.  Your post peaked my interest.  Where are you finding a rotisserie with those features at a $1k price?!  I'd love to purchase one as well!

Jon

Wow sorry for the long delay in updates. I have just been welding and plugging away with the daily life activities that take me away from working on the car as much as I would like.

At this time I am just welding/welding and more welding. Everything is basically fit up and today I got it on the rottisserie!!

JonS, I bought the rottisserie at KMS Tools.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Today I think we finally decided on the color for the car.

Atomic Orange with the challenger hood blackout and rallye stripes on the side painted in not using the vinyl graphics.

More welding done this past week. The sub frame connectors are in the midst of being put in, I put in the rear cross member. Did a ton of spot welds and grinding. There is not much left to do but then again there is tons left too do.

I hope to have everything except the rear cross rail and quarter panels in and welded by the end of today. I also am getting the front frame rails and front cross member all welded up to the new floors.

Lots of grinding wow I tell ya, but the work is looking CLEAN! man I am so exited to see this finished, the plan is to make the entire bottom of the car look entirely seamless. Which is going to be a lot of work but its going to look stunning!!

Very nice! I have some pics to update the subs I put in, but I need to get them loaded on my server. I am ordering tourque boxes to. Anyone suggest further enforcements? He is really wanting to put in the new 426 hemi. I was looking at the other brackets at uscartools.

Today I got the driver side rear floor drop welded in place, nothing to fancy there. The old quarter and new quarter panel are now 95% trimmed up and fit into place. Almost ready to weld that in too.

Im currently stuck though, I do not have reference pictures to go off of for the rear floor drops at the back of the car. Does anyone have pictures or maybe could go and take a couple pics for me? I believe these holes in the floor drops are for the rear valance and would like as much details as I can get.
