All this business is just solidifying AAR Quality Fiberglass as my choice. It's not even $100 more and I have never heard of a bad shipment or product.
Spend the money on the front end or later. I'll spend it now and not have a headache.

AAR doesnt seem to sell any hoods for the 70-74 Barracuda/Cuda......only earlier barracudas.

They do have hoods for Challengers, but that doesnt help those of us with fish.

Unless I am blind.....their site lists nothing for me.

Give them a call, they definitely make them.  Last time I talked to them, they said they didn't list some parts because the back-log was so long.  You might have to wait 4 months, but it's worth it.

Well I just hope my thread might save others from what happened to me.I just want to be done with it and move on,if this thread steers people away from Penstar or Meltzerbern so be it.I can`t help that and it isn`t my intent, all I did was let everyone know what happened and they can make up their own minds on who to buy from.

Glad to see you got your hood in one piece Azdan if you don`t mind let me know how it fits when you bolt it on.

Sorry to dig this thread up again, just thought I would show the hood on my car for anyone to see how it fits. I wish the drivers side edge fit up a little tighter but I think it may be an issue with my hinges if anyone has any suggestions I`m all ears.

I ended up ditching the springs that went with it they were too noisy and stiff the hood didn`t close smoothly with them.Believe it or not I ended up using a couple of springs from my kids trampoline (I had extras so my kids arent in any danger of falling through ) and I must say they worked perfect and look very similar to AAR springs just got to paint them red!

I'll be getting an AAR hood someday.  Fiberglass takes a lot of work to look good. Yours looks to fit decent. The front is real nice. I see what your saying on the drivers side. Can you loosen and tug the fenders in? Might be tough. Could open the hood all the way and lean into it to push it over. You know what I mean? But if it's too narrow you might need to fill it.    Thanx for posting.I wuz wondering what happened. R/T
