  Just returned from a visit at the hospital with Alan, he wanted to let you all know that he's doing well & should be back to the Pond in a couple of days. 
 We had a nice long conversation & I must say he may be bedridden but his mind is running a 8-second qtr.     

Barry, Alan wants you to know he received your package & is grateful.

If he tries to decorate his garage with them before he gets the doctor's OK, I may have to get western with him.

Thanks for the update Wade! He was on my mind a lot today. So how did his surgery go?  I would think recovery will be awhile? Might have to chain him to a bed or something to keep him from doing to much to soon!

  Word from the surgeon was that he will be OK but there is a good chance he will not be able to return to his occupation.  The vertebra are fused with plates & screws as I understand & he should be good to travel in two days.....How long it takes to recover will depend on how well the behaves (my take on things), knowing Alan he'll be overdoing it first opportunity.
 He's one tough ole dawg, I wouldn't bet against him.

Yes Alan is one tough old dog and about as stubborn as a old grey mule.  So, yes the doctors orders will go out the window.  Luckily, Peggy is one tough cookie herself, so maybe she can keep him in line.

Peggy is a sleep, Im running wide open right now.  Please please dont be mad after you read a post I just made?   I just saw this one.     I am doing good, but dont bump this tupe hangin in my private up front when typing.  It kinda hurts.     My rt leg works. I jogged 4 steps at 1045 pm tonight.  Was curious if I had any limits.  Im sore, but ok. Didnt take any medicine for pain.  Maybe tomorrow.   



Best news?       I will have my dad home on friday/saturday.   He does not have to pass away in a hospital.  I have to give him morphine shots my self, and feed him through  a tube in his tummy.     But he will die with pride and at my side.  Got the ok already from doctor

by by        Thanks to all my friends and members.  I was suicidal for a while last week and had to let some steam off without telling wife.  Im good now. Medicine was causing that side affect

Al you will have to get some rest somehow, find a movie or something, try reading a book that usually makes me drousy, I existed on 3 hours sleep for many years and it took several years to break the habit, I am paying for it now though. Nuff said about Gordon, don't get involved, you have a big heart to help others, try standing back and concentrate on your own immediate problems, God Bless.

Thanks guys, I believe I am checking out today.  Seems quick to me, but im all for it. Gotta ride for 50 miles or so, and trying to get in and out of a truck isnt fun, but healing up and home is the best way.
