    Any one have any info on this new Keisler RS 5-speed that they just e-mailed me about? I am ready to pull the trigger on a TKO-600 and now I get this  ???

    There is a thread started over at Moparts that I'm sure when snowball, but from what I gather, the RS is an evolution of the Borg Warner (and later, Tremec) T-45. I could be completely wrong on this though.

    By the looks of the specs, the torque capacity is pretty modest and won't match that of the TKO's. They look to be pretty well suited to small block, and mild big block applications.

    The email they sent me says that it is the next generation and later next year they will be releasing an alloy version which is undergoing tests. It is able to shift at higher engine speeds also, 7,000 rpm. They also claim better shifting especially 2 - 3 and different syncro rings.

    That's not saying much. The TKO 2-3 upshift sucks.

    I agree at first I thought the price was a little steep and it is the most expense of all the options but as a direct bolt in it off sets the cost of the mods. I do wish fith gear was a little higher but it will work.

    Now if you want to cut your tunnel the tr6060 t56 magnum viper 6 speed rocks  :burnout:

    Do you have a URL link for the Passon unit?  I am looking for something to put behind a 5.7 Hemi.  Thanks.

    Yea but the Passon is only a 4 speed tranny. I want to gain a gear not loose one.

    The one concern I have about ANY aftermarket add on to my car, is serviceability later in life.  This isn't a factory trans and probably uses proprietary parts.  But, I feel Passon builds and services the best 4 speeds, so I feel this is the best 5 speed on the market.

    By the way, that price is for a MADE IN USA product.  Support US Manufacturing!

     :iagree: How many times have we seen threads here with people bit**ing and moaning about cheap quality made in China junk?  Jamie has built a top quality MADE IN USA direct bolt-in 5 speed that will come with the best customer service of anywhere, and all people do is complain about the price.

    If you are talking about me, I did not complain about the price.  The quality of the part does not match the quality of my car.

    I'm not knocking Passon at all, nor am I a proponent of Keisler's products (although I have positive ownership experience) but until Jamie actually starts selling his new transmission, it's not a viable alternative to anything. 

    While I completely respect the product development effort required, I'm getting a little tired of reading about this thing but I have yet to see one installed in a customer vehicle.

    And on that note, rather than hijacking the thread to ***** about products produced off shore, let's discuss the original subject.
